CUBA LINDA

I love this photograph of Linda Evangelista by Stephen Meisel for Vogue Italia 1989 , called Cuba.
So emotional and strong.  Although I would prefer him to be taller than her, or that would be too obvious then?
Made it my fb profile pic.

Flying breakfast

Did you ever wonder how beautiful a breakfast can be ?
I ve just seen this great video of a flying breakfast, its called Breakfast Interrupted, made by http://www.brutonstroube.com/

I love those slow movement that only a special camera can catch. The honey running slowly down the pancakes,  the hot steam from the coffee, the eggs crashing and then jumping up one last time...
The food just flew up , but it seemed that at that moment an invisible family with 3 little children came to enjoy their breakfast and did a total mess on the table)

Very artistic, brilliantly presented. I was wondering how was it shot when I found the behind the scenes video: http://vimeo.com/23692037

Russian Vintage

Screen shot from Russian legendary movie of 1967 , Kavkazskaya Plennica where I have spotted some color blocking trend and retro black and white swimming suit so in fashion nowadays ... And what is amazing that it was in a country so closed for the western culture at that time...

Copier-coller

I ve been to Japan in 2009 and have seen there a lot of mouse mats with this wave print. Ever since I saw it (on a mouse mat that i bought)  I really like it. Its beautiful and again my favourite color mix can be noticed.
Recently I came across the photo from Christian  Dior exhibition that takes place in Pushkin museum in Moscow now. I was suprised to see that Dior was also inspired or better say -was in love with this painting so much that he copy-pasted it on a silk off white dress of his creation.
By the way copier-coller (copy-paste) is my new learned word from last week. I m glad it really stays in my head since more than a week already.

Back to the wave.
In fact its nice to know more about paintings. There is always a little story or a bio behind it. And there is a very useful wikipedia, that tells us that this painting is actually called The Great Wave off Kanagawa
神奈川沖浪裏 (this looks nice no?) by artist Hokusai. READ more about it.

And good news is that i might see a live copy of it soon. That will be my mission. Anywhere you go you have to have a mission.
